Vitrectomy Surgery In Bhagalpur

If you are living in Bhagalpur and want to improve your vision, then vitrectomy surgery may be the right option for you. Vitrectomy is a procedure that removes the cloudy lens material from the inside of your eye. This can help improve your vision by restoring clear vision.

There are several types of vitrectomy procedures, depending on your specific needs. One common type is called a perimetry vitrectomy. This procedure removes the cloudy lens material while leaving the surrounding healthy tissue intact. This helps improve your vision by allowing light to enter through the clear area of the lens and reach your retina.

If you are considering vitrectomy surgery, please consult with a qualified doctor. They will be able to give you more information about the different types of vitrectomy procedures and their benefits.

Types of Vitrectomy

There are three main types of vitrectomy: pars plana vitrectomy (PPV), transconjunctival sutureless vitrectomy (TSV), and endoscopic subretinal or epiretinal approach.

PPV is the most common type of vitrectomy, and it is performed using a giant incision in the upper left quadrant of the eye.

TSV is a less invasive procedure that uses small cuts to enter the eye and then sews the eyes shut. The advantage of TSV is that it does not require an incision in the eyelid, which can be uncomfortable and cause scarring. The disadvantage of TSV is that it may not be able to reach certain areas of the retina.

Endoscopic subretinal or epiretinal approach is a newer type of vitrectomy that uses tiny cameras inserted through tiny incisions made in the lower part of the eye. This technique allows for more accurate placement of the surgeon’s instruments, which may improve vision outcomes.
