Cornea & Refractive Fellowship
Job Summary:
Candidates will receive structured training in diagnosing and managing corneal and refractive eye disorders. This includes exposure to investigative procedures, medical therapies, surgical interventions, and research methodologies.
Clinical training will involve rotational postings across various subspecialties within the outpatient department. Fellows will be encouraged to conduct thorough patient evaluations, utilizing clinical reasoning and diagnostic data to establish accurate diagnoses.
Program Details:
- Comprehensive training in patient evaluation and clinical work-up.
- Exposure to a full range of diagnostic tools, including Topography, OCT, Keratograph, Advanced Dry Eye diagnostics, and Aberrometry.
- Regular OPD postings with opportunities to manage independent patient cases.
- Supervised surgical training to develop accurate techniques and procedural skills.
- Fellows will gain hands-on experience in both clinical and surgical management across a diverse range of conditions.
Key focus areas include:
- Diagnosis and treatment of Keratoconus, including topography-guided surface ablation (Athens Protocol)
- Management of corneal disorders
- Performing corneal transplants, including both full-thickness and lamellar techniques
- Treatment of ocular surface diseases
