Optical Sales
Job Summary:
Eye Mantra Optical Shop in Delhi is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Optical Sales Executive to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers in selecting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products to meet their needs. Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, maintaining product displays, and achieving sales targets, all while ensuring a positive and efficient shopping experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Assistance & Sales:
- Welcome customers to the optical shop and guide them in choosing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products.
- Help customers select frames and lenses based on their preferences, needs, and budget.
- Collaborate with optometrists to assist in prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and conduct basic eye tests when necessary.
- Clearly explain the features, benefits, and pricing of products to customers.
- Promote and upsell additional products, such as lens coatings, accessories, and maintenance services.
Product Knowledge & Display Management:
- Stay updated on the latest trends in optical products, including frames, lenses, and eyewear accessories.
- Ensure that all product displays are organized, stocked, and visually appealing to attract customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock to maintain availability of popular products.
Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Assist in fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring proper alignment and comfort.
- Provide excellent after-sales service, including adjustments to glasses, repairs, and guidance on eyewear care and maintenance.
Sales & Target Achievement:
- Meet or surpass sales targets set by the store manager.
- Track and report sales performance, contributing to the overall team goals.
- Participate in promotional activities and campaigns to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
Cash Handling & Documentation:
- Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle payments through cash, credit, and debit cards.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions in line with company policies.
Store Maintenance:
- Ensure the shop is always clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist in receiving and managing deliveries of optical products.
- Report any issues with store equipment or inventory to the manager for timely resolution.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in optical sales or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory).
Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in retail sales, ideally in optical sales or a related field.
- Prior experience in customer service and meeting sales targets is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish rapport with customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of optical products, including eyeglasses, contact lenses, and related accessories.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
