Optometrist Interns

Job Summary:

Eye Mantra in Delhi is inviting enthusiastic Optometry Interns to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in conducting eye examinations, assisting in the diagnosis of visual conditions, and supporting the prescription of corrective lenses under professional supervision.

Interns will actively participate in patient care and gain valuable exposure to clinical practices, diagnostic tools, and real-world scenarios. Ideal for students or recent graduates, this opportunity is designed to enhance clinical competence and deepen knowledge by working alongside experienced optometrists in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Eye Exams:

• Support Senior Optometrists in conducting eye examinations, refraction tests, and utilizing diagnostic tools.
• Perform basic vision assessments such as visual acuity, color vision, and preliminary ocular health screenings.
• Prepare patients for their exams and assist in contact lens trials and eyeglass fittings under supervision.

Patient Care Support:

• Educate patients on eye care routines, lens hygiene, and proper usage of corrective devices.
• Assist in maintaining accurate patient records and documenting examination findings.
• Participate in routine follow-ups and offer general eye care guidance to patients.

Equipment Handling & Maintenance:

• Aid in operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment, including slit-lamps, autorefractors, and tonometers.
• Learn standard procedures for handling optometric instruments, ensuring proper use under the supervision of senior staff.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry (B.Optom)
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Skills:

• Fundamental understanding of optometry principles and eye care
• Ability to assist in eye examinations, operate basic diagnostic tools, and manage patient documentation
