Optometrist
Job Summary:
Eye Mantra in Bahadurgarh is seeking committed Optometrists, both Senior and Junior, to join our growing team. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose visual and ocular conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide personalized patient care.
Senior Optometrists will lead patient management and mentor junior team members, while Junior Optometrists will assist in clinical duties, gaining hands-on experience and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
Vision Testing & Refraction:
- Conduct detailed eye examinations to evaluate visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and overall ocular health.
- Perform accurate refractions to identify refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia, and prescribe suitable corrective lenses.
- Use diagnostic tools including slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers to assess and detect eye conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders.
Patient Management & Care:
- Offer professional guidance on the selection and use of corrective lenses, contact lenses, and low vision aids.
- Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions such as dry eyes, conjunctivitis, and eye allergies.
- Educate patients on preventive eye care, proper usage of vision aids, and general ocular hygiene.
- Refer patients requiring advanced care or surgical intervention to ophthalmologists or other specialists.
Clinical Leadership:
- Provide mentorship and support to Junior Optometrists and clinical staff.
- Maintain high standards of clinical accuracy, patient satisfaction, and professional conduct.
- Keep abreast of advancements in optometry and help integrate innovative practices into daily clinical operations.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optometry (B.Optom or M.Optom)
- Additional certifications in areas such as contact lenses, low vision, or pediatric optometry are an advantage
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of clinical experience in optometric practice, including expertise in refraction, advanced diagnostics, and patient care
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment such as slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers
Skills:
- Strong ability to conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose visual impairments, and prescribe appropriate corrective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
- Leadership qualities and mentoring capability to support and guide junior optometrists and support staff
